Anomalous coronary artery

The heart's own arteries, the coronary arteries, should be connected to the aorta to supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle. An anomalous coronary artery is one which is instead connected to the pulmonary artery, which carried oxygen-depleted blood to the lungs.
